Resolver — definition

A party (usually on decentralized venues) that proposes the outcome of a market, subject to dispute.

On Polymarket, anyone can be a resolver by posting a bond and submitting a proposal to UMA. Successful resolvers earn a small fee; wrong ones lose their bond.

Don't confuse 'resolver' with 'oracle' — the oracle is the system as a whole.
